Weekend hike in the Karkonosze and Izerskie Mountains. Main attractions: - Summiting Śnieżka (1603 m) and Wysoka Kopa (1126 m) — two peaks in the Polish Crown of Mountains (Korona Gór Polski). - Wysoki Kamień viewpoint with panoramas of the Karkonosze. - Walk on the SkyWalk treetop path in Świeradów-Zdrój. - Visit to the “Stanisław” quartz quarry. PROGRAM 21.05.2026 - Meeting in Warsaw at 22:45, transfer to Łódź. 22.05.2026 - Meeting in Łódź at 00:30, early-morning breakfast break. - Preparation and hike to Śnieżka (1603 m) — red trail through the Łomniczka valley, passing the Łomniczka Waterfall and reaching Dom Śląski mountain hut (break). - Ascent to the summit of Śnieżka: souvenir stamp, wooden chapel of St. Lawrence (1665), High Mountain Observatory with a restaurant (“disks”), on the Czech side the upper cable car station and the highest post office in the Czech Republic. In good visibility views include the Jelenia Góra Basin, Rudawy Janowickie and the Kaczawskie Foothills (Ostrzyca Proboszczowicka). - From Śnieżka descend to the Luční bouda hotel (Czech Republic) — break. Then to the Samotnia mountain hut by the Small Pond, descend to Upper Karpacz and see the Wang Church. - Distance: approx. 18 km (approx. 9 h with breaks), total ascent 858 m, total descent 816 m. - After the hike transfer by bus to a guesthouse in Szklarska Poręba — accommodation, dinner, overnight stay. 23.05.2026 - Breakfast, transfer to Jizerka (Czech Republic), hike through the Izery Mountains along the Izera valley, scenic rock formations, stops at the Orle Station and the Chatka Górzystów. - Finish the route at the historic spa house in Świeradów-Zdrój. - Distance: approx. 16.5 km (approx. 8.5 h with breaks), total ascent 190 m, total descent 566 m. - Optional visit to the SkyWalk viewing platform and treetop path (views from 62 m height, walkway nearly 1 km). Option to ride a 105-meter slide. - Return to the guesthouse, dinner, overnight stay. 24.05.2026 - Breakfast, check-out. - Walk the red trail from Szklarska Poręba to the Wysoki Kamień mountain hut (below the Wysoki Kamień peak, 1058 m) — panoramas of the Karkonosze, Izery Mountains, Kaczawskie Mountains and Rudawy Janowickie. - Viewing point at the edge of the “Stanisław” quartz quarry (1084 m) — the highest mining site in Central Europe; mining history since the 13th century. - Ascend the highest elevation of the Izery Mountains — Wysoka Kopa (1126 m). - Continue along the green trail to Jakuszyce, transfer to Szklarska Poręba for lunch, return to Łódź around 22:00 and to Warsaw before midnight. - Distance: approx. 15.5 km (approx. 7.5 h with breaks), total ascent 541 m, total descent 309 m.
