
We are pleased to invite you to the course with workshops “One head — many possibilities”, which will take place on 5 June 2026 at the Dermawet Clinic (ul. Jarosława Dąbrowskiego 34) in Warsaw. The workshops will be led by DVM Robert Kraczkowski, a practicing veterinarian who studied in Poland, Germany and Austria. He is a participant of many international conferences and trainings in anaesthesiology, intensive care and pain management. Member of the Association of Veterinary Anaesthetists. ONE HEAD — MANY POSSIBILITIES! This course will transform your work, and your patients will not know what pain is — a course in regional and local anaesthesia of the head in dogs and cats. Especially useful for dental, ophthalmic, otologic procedures and after head trauma. 9 hours of training, including the essential theoretical minimum and practical work — injections, injections and injections again! The course is intended for veterinarians who: - perform oral cleanings and tooth extractions - carry out ophthalmic procedures - perform procedures on the auricle, ear canals, nasal cavity (polyps), and palate (palatoplasty) - perform rhinoscopy procedures - regardless of whether you use inhalation anaesthesia or not - regardless of whether you work in a solo practice or a clinic You will learn: - which nerve or area should be anaesthetised to perform a painless procedure in the head area - what equipment to use - which drugs to use and why - how to calculate doses and volumes of local anaesthetics - how to minimise the risk of complications - what to do if complications occur - how to manage analgesic protocols after various head procedures — drugs, doses, duration, different combinations Meeting plan: - head anatomy in terms of local and regional anaesthesia - blocks of specific nerves and structures - drugs, doses, concentrations, volumes - equipment needed for anaesthesia - principles of using a neurostimulator in facial nerve anaesthesia - one break with snacks We will jointly anaesthetise the following nerve structures: - maxillary nerve from three different approaches - infraorbital nerve - mandibular nerve - inferior alveolar nerve from two approaches - mental nerve - branches of the trigeminal nerve - ophthalmic nerve - greater auricular nerve - auriculotemporal nerve Each participant will practise every type of anaesthesia with the instructor, using the same equipment that will later be used in daily practice. The participation fee for the workshop is 2000 zł net (2460 zł gross) — payable in a single instalment or in two instalments. You will receive: - materials prepared to be useful in daily practice from the day after the training - a starter kit consisting of needles and syringes necessary for administering local anaesthetics in a way that minimises tissue trauma Classes start at 9:00 and finish around 18:00, although the finish time may vary slightly depending on how long the practical sessions require and how strong the interaction between participants and the lecturer is. A break with snacks is planned during the workshops. The course is conducted in Polish. Limit of participants: 12 people. Please bring lab coats and comfortable, soft footwear for the practical part.
