We continue last year’s informal workshop meetings. In our studio, items from second-hand shops were given new life, we revived family keepsakes and worn everyday objects. In our museum Craft Studio PraRzemka we open a local service workshop for four hours. We operate from February to November with a break for the summer months. 📅 WORKSHOP DATES: 26 February — 14:00–18:00 26 March — 14:00–18:00 23 April — 14:00–18:00 28 May — 14:00–18:00 25 June — 14:00–18:00 24 September — 14:00–18:00 29 October — 14:00–18:00 26 November — 14:00–18:00 Purpose: We work in reference to the tradition of leather and saddlery workshops that provided repairs in our district. Most of them have closed, leaving residents without easy access to repairs for backpacks, leashes or belts. We are also inspired by repair cafés — grassroots initiatives focused on fixing items. What you can do: Bring a damaged leather good — together we will consider how to save it. Workshops include repairing bags, backpacks, cosmetic bags, wallets and other items made of leather or leather-like materials. You can set rivets, punch an extra hole in a belt, sew in a new zipper or learn to use basic tools. You will perform repairs yourself after instruction and using the necessary tools and materials; for more complicated tasks our master craftsperson Renata Dmowska will help. Note: Do not bring shoes and clothing — those repairs are handled by other craftsmen (cobblers and seamstresses). 🔗 How to sign up?
