MASTERCLASS - CLINICAL SEMINAR WITH JAN ROUBAL GESTALT THERAPY AND FIELD THEORY FACING THE CHALLENGES OF AN ACCELERATING WORLD The concept of “composting” – the support that Gestalt Field Theory offers in Gestalt therapy practice in response to the deteriorating human condition in the contemporary world. We invite experienced Gestalt psychotherapists and supervisors to a seminar with Jan Roubal. - How should Gestalt therapists adapt their way of working to the changes occurring in the contemporary world? - How can Field Theory be helpful? Psychotherapy naturally responds to the needs of a given era. In today’s world, dominated by excessive stimulation, our experiences have no chance to integrate. There is a lack of support and stable ground. This situation is significantly different from the times when Gestalt therapy was created. We therefore need to rethink our approach again (after the dialogical turn). How to avoid the trap of generating ever new experiences and awareness in psychotherapy, thereby reinforcing the over-saturation that our clients suffer from? How to change our approach to promote assimilation and supportive ground? In response to these questions Jan Roubal will present support from Field Theory and propose the concept of “composting.” Through personal work and supervision, the seminar will combine practice and theory of the contemporary Gestalt therapeutic approach.
