Someone described a painting. - A rectangle. - A mountain running through the middle. - At the bottom, Don Quixote. - Higher up, Sisyphus with his stone. - Higher still, Icarus near the sun. - At the top, Job and Abraham. It sounded like a plan. But in painting, plans rarely work out. From that message a conversation between two painters began. Two different ways of working. Two mountains. - One grows out of impulse, relationships, and gesture. - The other from tension, memory, and the need to find one’s own mark. Between them, a third mountain appears — the one every viewer brings with them. The event is co-founded by the municipality of Warsaw.
