KEY IN THE CASTLE Anna Barlik – Strategies of Organization Meeting with the artist Date: March 21, 2026 (Saturday) Time: 15:00 Place: Royal Castle in Warsaw, temporary exhibition space – the “Key in the Castle” series Admission: free We invite you to a meeting with Anna Barlik – a visual artist who in her practice explores the relationships between people, form and space. The starting point for the conversation will be her exhibition Strategies of Organization presented as part of the “Key in the Castle” series. The artist’s installations and sculptures can be seen at the Castle from March 17 to April 27, 2026. About the exhibition: The display presents the cycle Arranging Objects, including: - Construction Site (2023) - Moving Out (2023) - Scaffolding (2026) - Reconstruction (2026) These are balancing, geometric structures made of powder-coated steel that can be read as visual strategies for ordering reality. The sculptures speak about the need for control, balance and stability in a world of excessive stimuli, expectations and tensions. They create a model of fragile “inner architecture” – a space where an individual negotiates between personal aspirations and social pressure. The exhibition at the Castle is not accidental. Anna Barlik’s work fits into a long tradition of thinking about architecture as a reflection of the human condition — from historical visions of the city to contemporary interpretations of space as a carrier of emotions and identity. Juxtaposing her works with the historical context of the Castle allows us to view architecture not only as a form, but as a story about human tensions, ambitions and the need for order. About the artist: Dr. habil. Anna Barlik (born 1985 in Warsaw) – sculptor and author of site-specific installations. A graduate of the Academy of Fine Arts in Łódź and Warsaw. Her works have been presented in Poland and abroad, including the Polish Pavilion at the Venice Architecture Biennale and at Zachęta.
