We invite you on a unique micro-expedition along a route through villages inhabited since the reign of the Lion of Lechistan (Jan III Sobieski) by Polish Tatars. On this day we will look into the extraordinary history of Tatar settlement on the lands of Lithuania and the Crown. Every Pole knows the word ułan, originating from the Tatar language — translated as “young man”! We will tell stories of years of wars and light‑horse youths with reflex bows and sabres, about religion, language, dance, folk magic and cuisine. This day we will also take part in the spring festival organized in Bohoniki and visit two unique monuments — the Tatar mosques in Bohoniki and Kruszyniany.
