Datura is not only an improvisation methodology but also a way of dance creation. In this workshop you will learn Datura's fundamentals to dance with your tribe. We will see some slow vocabulary and we will zill a lot with fast combos. Requirements: Have some tribal fusion experience; Datura is challenging and some movements will be taken as given. Also, get ready for some challenging (but fun) zill patterns. Bring your zills! (If you don't have zills, let us know; we'll have some spare ones). - Ancient vs Sci-Fi Fusion (Sunday 10:00–11:30 — 1.5h) A new era for Tribal Fusion has come and old-school movements are evolving into weird and interesting steps. Cosmosdaughter's dance style travels between ancient temples and futuristic dystopian environments. In this workshop you will learn how to evolve an old-school choreography into a 'Sacrifice on a Temple' vibe or a 'Sci-Fi alien city' choreo with just some adjustments. Magic is in the details. COOKIE & KENZI ORCHIDACEAE workshops: - Textured Sensings and Shifting Grounds (Friday 11:00–14:00 — 3h) A journey through the shifting landscapes of the body, where support becomes both anchor and question, solidity and instability. We will explore how grounding and imbalance inform our movement choices, the control of our body, and push our capacity. Through movement and touch, we'll awaken the textures that live in the skin, the weight, the gestures. An invitation to move with richness and nuance, to sense with depth, and to discover relational sensitivity. - Round and Round (Sunday 14:30–16:00 — 1.5h, Cookie Orchidaceae) If we let go and listen, our bodies will intuitively know what to do. Working within our kinesphere, we move in circles and spirals, gently changing levels and directions. We move consciously, noticing where we place each support to truly ground ourselves. We find ways to shift our weight lightly and smoothly, floating above the ground that supports us. We take care of our bodies while we perceive how they merge with the ground. - What if Your Body Was a Musical Instrument? (Sunday 12:30–14:00 — 1.5h, Kenzi Orchidaceae) How do you translate a song into dance? In this workshop we will practice how to listen to music in a way that will look and feel as if the song is coming out through your own body. We will learn tools to use in every dance style and open your ears to a different way to live music in your life, regaining the joy of feeling a song travel through us, morphing into movement. Whether precisely in sync with the music's strongest beats (beats killing) or like no one is watching, we'll make our body our instrument and merge dance with music. 'BALANCE' — PERFORMANCE PROJECT with Donna Anika This project is dedicated to the search for physical and psychological balance: in the group, in society, and within oneself. We will support each other and provide a foundation to easily push off from and soar toward personal goals. We will also intentionally lose balance to discover weaknesses and learn where to focus attention during difficult moments. Donna Anika will incorporate elements of contact improvisation, modern dance, and contemporary into the usual Tribal foundation; these styles offer many focal points for work on balance, equilibrium, and control of the body in space. All combinations and movements will be guided by the project's theme so you can connect body and music intuitively. Kindly note that the price DOES NOT INCLUDE costumes for the performance on the show. VANSARIZA workshops: - Classical Pilates on the mat with Vanja Aliba1ic7 (Sat & Sun 09:00–09:50 — 50 min) These classical pilates warm-ups guided by Vanja combine her dance background with personal experience working through injuries. The focus is on safe, mindful movement, proper alignment, and building strength from within. Sessions are held on mats — please bring your own mat if possible; if not, inform the organizers in advance (limited spare mats available). - Double Trouble with Sara & Iza (Saturday 10:00–12:00 — 2h) This fusion bellydance workshop brings together two teachers, two perspectives, and one shared piece of music. Participants will learn distinct combinations from each instructor, experiencing firsthand how the same music can be interpreted through contrasting qualities, textures, and movement approaches. By exploring these interpretations side by side, dancers will gain deeper musical awareness, versatility, and inspiration. The workshop highlights how contrast can create harmony — showing how individual styles can differ and yet blend seamlessly into a cohesive whole.
