ESSENCE OF TRADITIONAL HATHA YOGA Where Science Meets Spirituality Join us for a special two-day workshop with Deepak Verma — an experienced teacher from Rishikesh, the “World Capital of Yoga” in India. This gathering combines ancient wisdom with modern knowledge and practice. Two days of deep work with the body, breath and awareness. TEACHER – DEEPAK VERMA Deepak is a dedicated yoga teacher living in Rishikesh, India, with over 9 years of teaching experience and a master’s degree in yoga. Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga Pranayama Satkarma (traditional cleansing techniques of Hatha Yoga) He combines ancient Indian philosophy with a contemporary approach to practice. He is currently a mentor in the 300-hour teacher training at LAAIC and passionately supports students in deepening their sādhanā through breath and movement. SATURDAY — Building the Foundation 8.00–10.00 — Awakening Ritual (Morning Sadhana) - Primary Series Ashtanga Yoga | Kriya | Pranayama The first day begins with building an energetic foundation. This session is an immersion in the traditional “daily rhythm” of a practitioner. By combining the discipline of the Primary Series of Ashtanga Yoga with cleansing kṛiyās, we prepare the nervous system for deeper inner work. It’s more than movement — it’s the conscious kindling of the inner fire. 11.00–13.30 — Living Tradition and the Shatkarmas Laboratory - Saptanga Yoga | Evolution of Asana | Theory of Shatkarma This theoretical laboratory provides the “missing context” for physical practice. We will examine Saptanga Yoga (7 limbs) and trace the evolution of asana to understand its impact on the modern body. We will also explore the theory of Shatkarmas — six traditional cleansing techniques — with demonstrations and discussion of their role in contemporary health. 15.00–17.30 — Pranayama and the Vibrating Body - Intensive Pranayama | Recitation of the Yoga Sutras | Stories from the Lineage The first day ends with a transition from the physical to the subtle dimension. The session is dedicated to intensive pranayama practice and the meditative vibrations of reciting the Yoga Sutras. To ground the practice, the teacher will share personal stories and visual materials from the traditional source places of Hatha Yoga he visited with his grandmother — connecting our work in Warsaw with the roots of the lineage. SUNDAY — Cultivating Inner Mastery 8.00–10.00 — Connecting Breath and Body (Morning Sadhana) - Ashtanga Vinyasa | Advanced Kriya Flow Continuing the work from the first day, we deepen and refine the morning practice. We will focus on synchronizing breath and movement (Vinyasa) to develop sthira — stability. We will include more advanced kṛiyā techniques to strengthen mental clarity and bodily endurance, preparing for the more technical part of the program. 11.00–13.30 — The Biology of Breath (Technical Lab) - Nitric Oxide (NO) | CO₂ Tolerance | Mechanics of Shallow Breathing Combining ancient wisdom with modern breath science, we will examine the biology of breathing. We will discuss nitric oxide (NO) production, CO₂ tolerance and dispel common myths about oxygen. Particular attention will be given to the mechanics of shallow breathing and how faulty breathing patterns contribute to chronic tension in the neck and shoulders, offering practical tools for correction. 15.00–17.00 — Integration and Mantra Japa - Deep Pranayama | Mantra Japa | Q&A Session The final session will be a journey toward inner silence. Through intensive pranayama and Mantra Japa practice we will stabilize the mind and integrate the knowledge gained during the weekend. We will finish with an extended Q&A session so everyone can leave with a clear, personal map for continuing their practice at home. LOCATION Yoga Republic ul.
