
The Interfaculty Circle of Synchronic Linguistics invites you to participate in the national student and doctoral scientific conference Dialogues and Monologues 6. The conference will take place on May 16, 2026 (Saturday) in the temporary building of the Faculty of Polish Studies, University of Warsaw. Participation is in-person only. The thematic scope includes, among others: rhetoric; language and communication in the media; manipulation and persuasion in various types of discourse; language and cultural texts; translations and interpretations; dialogue(s) between languages; research on the linguistic picture of the world; cognitive linguistics; sociolects and professional lects; linguistic stylizations in literature and other cultural texts; linguistic analysis of literary texts; the issue of metaphor in literary texts; authorial language; lexis and grammar in literary texts; the influence of literary Polish on general language (norms, patterns, language fashions, catchphrases); didactics of teaching Polish language and Polish literature; and glottodidactics. We also invite submissions of other proposals that fall within the conference's thematic scope. Please send topics and abstracts of planned presentations by e‑mail by May 4, 2026 (Monday) to: dialogiimonologi6@gmail.com — the submission should include: first name, last name, academic title/degree, affiliation, title of the presentation, and an abstract (no more than 300 words).
