
We warmly invite you to the training: Setting in a Box, or about psychodynamic psychotherapy for children. Intended participants: psychologists, psychotherapists, and trainee psychotherapists. Description: Participants will learn an original therapeutic method for working with children aged 4–12 based on psychodynamic thinking. The aim of the training is to present the basic aspects of therapeutic work with a child and cooperation with parents. The training is one day (8 hours). Program (selected topics): diagnosis in child therapy: consultations with parents; first contact with the child; methods and tools of work; providing feedback to parents; establishing a therapeutic contract; therapy process and phenomena in therapy; dilemmas of the child therapist. Materials and methods: Participants will learn original therapeutic tools used by therapists of the Center. The discussed content will be illustrated with examples, session recordings and the child's creations. Date: 17.05.2026. Place: Wita Stwosza 45, Warsaw. Hours: 10:00–18:00. Duration: 8 hours. Instructors: Urszula Turyna — educator, psychologist, certified psychotherapist of the Polish Society for Psychodynamic Psychotherapy. She completed the 4-year School of Psychodynamic Psychotherapy at the Krakow Psychodynamic Center and the Study of Sociotherapy and Interpersonal Training. She has a clinical specialization in psychotherapy for children and adolescents. For over 15 years she has worked therapeutically with children individually and in groups and with the parent–child dyad. She currently works in the Child and Parent Therapy Team at the Krakow Therapy Center. She is active in the Donald Winnicott Association of Child Psychotherapists and is a co-founder of the Section of Child and Adolescent Psychotherapy of PTPPd. She conducts scientific research and training for child psychotherapists, psychologists and educators. Instructors: Sylwia Zaremba — psychologist, psychotherapist, graduate of the University of Gdańsk. She holds PTPPd Psychotherapist Certificate no. 124. She completed the 4-year School of Psychodynamic Psychotherapy at the Krakow Psychodynamic Center and the Study of Sociotherapy and Interpersonal Training. For over 15 years she has worked therapeutically with children, adolescents and adults individually and in groups. She currently works in the Day Department of Child Psychiatry at the St. Ludwik Children’s Hospital. She cooperates with the Krakow Psychodynamic Center and conducts training for psychotherapists. She is a Board member of the Donald Winnicott Association of Child Psychotherapists and secretary of the Board of the Section of Child and Adolescent Psychotherapy of PTPPd.
