Tańcograjka are musical-dance animations for children up to 3 years old inspired by Polish traditional culture. For many years we have practiced folk music, learning from village masters of playing, singing and dancing, running educational and artistic activities related to sharing knowledge about old children’s folklore and musical animations based on the traditional ritual calendar and original ideas. During the meetings, little ones sing, dance and play to the accompaniment of live instruments, developing their senses, creativity and imagination. Classes take place in a warm and supportive atmosphere. ☞ We develop musicality ☞ We stimulate sensory development ☞ We sensitize to nature and tradition ☞ We develop creativity and imagination ☞ We awaken the spirit of community and the joy of being together ☞ All of this with tenderness and attention to the emotions and needs of little people The meetings will be divided into two parts: the first, shorter, is free play with the child on a carpet accompanied by traditional toys, handmade animals, scarves, fabrics and wooden blocks — an immersive and spontaneous experience of live music: accordion, drums and singing. In the second part we will move into the world of traditional songs, soothing lullabies, hums, little massages and rhythmic counting-out rhymes, clap-rhymes, melodic nonsense rhymes and finger games. We will equip caregivers with a handy musical toolkit useful in many situations. With older toddlers we will also try to get familiar with circle games and spontaneous dances. REGISTRATION Classes in the February–June 2026 season https://tiny.pl/y59kj16_w Number of places limited PLACE Ambasada Muzyki Tradycyjnej Jazdów 3/20, Warsaw https://maps.app.goo.gl/U6WEbk7x8AQivLmr7?g_st=ipc NOTE Domki na Jazdowie is a unique, fantastic and very friendly space, but it is not a sterile hall environment. Classes take place in conditions close to a home/outdoor setting — there may be unevenness, chill and natural sounds and smells. We recommend bringing comfortable warm clothes and a small blanket that may be useful during classes. Please take into account the current weather and temperature; especially now dress yourself and the child in layers and warmly. Participation in the classes means acceptance of the conditions of the space and the caregiver’s independent assessment of the child’s comfort and safety. The classes have the character of an informal meeting and shared movement. We encourage responding to the child’s needs, taking breaks or leaving early if necessary. The classes will be led by: Emilia HERDA Ethnologist, drummer, dancer and animator. Member of the music groups Czarne Motyle and Wędrowiec, associated with the Warsaw Association for Traditional Culture Dom Tańca.
